Making drums using a toy basketball game

Here's a quick video detailing part of my drum making process. I recently bought this rad toy basketball game and noticed it made some percussive noises I liked....so naturally I wanted to sample it and make some drums!

via YouTube Capture I recently bought this toy basketball game and after messing around with it I thought it would be a great percussive tool. Here's a video of me noodling around with samples from it on different samplers at all kinds of different pitches to create a drum loop that will eventually turn into a full beat.....

So last week I had the privilege of shooting one of the most ambitious videos I've been a part of. We shot at like 8 locations, hired some great talent, put in like 30 hours in 3 days and it was an absolute blast. I don't want to ruin any surprises so I won't disclose any other details yet. But to get you hyped here are some pics of my character in the video, Gravin McCoy at a photo shoot. As you can see he made it on the cover of "OG" and High Times. Yes it's Pretty ridiculous.
